ALLEN C. DE OLAZARRA

CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Allen C. de Olazarra is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Equitable Real Estate Partners, a fully integrated private real estate investment, development and operating company headquartered in Miami, Florida. Equitable integrates equity placement and capital market access with the ability to identify opportunity, create value and manage risk across the full spectrum of real estate investment and development opportunities. Equitable manages a portfolio of specialized and focused real estate operating companies serving the real estate needs of the American and International business community. Equitable affiliates also build and operate best in class Senior Housing Communities including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Since 1993, Equitable and its successor and affiliated companies have acquired, developed and realized on over $5 Billion in real estate transactions, across the Mid Atlantic and Sunbelt, across asset classes and across cycles with outstanding results. Mr. de Olazarra simultaneously serves as the President of Florida Logistics, LLC, the CEO of Special Situations, LLC and the CEO of Hurricane Harbor Yacht Centers, LLC

From December, 2018 through November 2021, Mr. de Olazarra served as President of Parkway Property Investments, LLC ("Parkway"), a vertically integrated private real estate investment company, headquartered in Orlando, Florida and operating throughout the Sun Belt markets of the United States. Parkway is a full service real estate operating company with industry leading leasing, asset management, construction management and development expertise. Parkway currently owns or manages over 22 million square feet of commercial real estate with assets under management exceeding $5 billion dollars.

Prior to founding Equitable, Mr. de Olazarra was the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of America’s Capital Partners (ACP), a fully integrated private real estate investment and operating company active throughout the southeast and mid Atlantic regions of the United States. Between 1998 and 2013, ACP acquired and realized on over $3 Billion in real estate investment and development transactions.

Prior to founding ACP, Mr. de Olazarra was the President of Associated Capital Properties, Inc. one of the leading real estate operating and investment companies in Florida.  Between 1993 and 1997, Associated Capital Properties acquired over 80 office properties throughout the State of Florida.  On October 1st, 1997, Associated Capital Properties merged with Highwoods Properties.  Mr. de Olazarra remained with Highwoods for eight months after the merger with responsibility for acquisitions and development in Florida and the integration of the two companies.

Mr. de Olazarra started his real estate career at Cushman and Wakefield in 1982 serving as Senior Director until 1993. While at C&W Mr. de Olazarra focused on office leasing, investment sales and loan workouts and twice earned Cushman and Wakefield’s prestigious “Deal of the Year” award.

Mr. de Olazarra received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Virginia in 1981 and has remained active in the University community.  Mr. de Olazarra is the immediate past Chairman of the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy Foundation and also serves as an Emeritus Trustee of the Foundation for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia. Mr. de Olazarra is a Founding Fellow of the University of Virginia Real Estate Institute and is the former Executive in Residence at the Center for Growth Enterprises at the McIntire School of Commerce. Mr. de Olazarra has served on the Real Estate Advisory Board at Florida State University and is an occasional lecturer at FSU, UVA, Columbia, UM and NYU. 

Mr. de Olazarra and his wife Diane focus their philanthropic efforts around the needs of children, creating affordable housing solutions, sustainability and the environment. Allen and Diane reside in Keystone Point, Florida and Charlottesville, Virginia. Together, they have three adult daughters and one grandson.
